Doesn't the Goddess sound a bit glitchy? Also, very purpose built AI vibes.
Regarding characters - maybe that's just world building. We need to know that the world in a shitty place with intrigue and betrayal. There's no better way to show this as with two-faced betrayers.

150 years - way too unrealistic. A decade of isolation and people go crazy, loose speech and experience a huge cognitive decline. But that might be a set-up to MC changing into a bit of an angel of vengeance of the chaotic-lawful kind.

I guess everything will depend on how the story will go from here. Will she hide the fact she is the hero? Just brings the targets head and plays dumb  ? Or she goes stabby-stabby on anyone she perceives as 'unjust'. That last page sure gives food for thought.

yeah this does look cool though i'd argue that even if mostly left to implication the fact that she got raped to death would warrant either a tag chance or a warning note if you'd ask me.

It was certainly something I had to take a stop and ready myself to continue reading over.

[...]
Yeah, sorry ablut that, it was a complete oopsie on my part, I just left the prefilled tags that were already in the system, will try to do better :(

I apologize to everyone whom I caused discomfort to

@Fmefw, I think this needs the Gore and Sexual Violence tags, as per the MangaDex Tag Guidelines:
  • Gore: Detailed depictions of violence or physical trauma, including excessive blood or bodily harm. The content should be tagged if it involves graphic and extended scenes of violence, not just brief or stylized depictions.
  • Sexual Violence: Depicts themes or scenes involving rape, sexual assault, or any other non-consensual sexual acts. Incidents that involve coercion or forced intimacy should be tagged here.
Thanks for the chapter!
Yes, I've seen someone added them before I Was able to, I'm sorry, completely forgot to add them :(

Yo this is a very promising start, really like the choice of her dying, something that'd normally be insane in something that isn't an isekai, and her deciding to train for 150 years instead of taking the cheats.

Thank you for all of your hard work in scanlating this work.

"If you don't have the strength to wield a longsword with one hand, then just use both of them"
Women are physically weaker than men. No amount of weight lifting will ever overcome this. I'm glad that the author addresses this natural handicap, and how Elizabeth compensates for it. She has the unique, self taught sword fighting style from her father. And she wields her sword in both hands. However, that still leaves her at a disadvantage. If a male swordsman is holding a long sword in both hands, he'll be able to swing it with more force than her. "A shield which never gets hit is unnecessary!" I'm glad they address this aspect. It sounds like her fighting style will focus on dodging attacks, instead of blocking. I appreciate that the author put this much thought into this.

The story addresses Elizabeth's disadvantage again later on: "Range, power, stamina. Physical traits far superior to what I, as a woman, have... Meanwhile men..." I like that the story is addressing this, instead of just giving Elizabeth magical strength, like so many other manga give female character, to overcome the gap.

Lionel defeating Elizabeth, due to brute strength. Lionel even acknowledged that she has better technique than him. The author is doing a good job of making Elizabeth's disadvantage realistic.

I like that Elizabeth's main rival has respect for her skills. And I like that he is currently more skilled than Elizabeth. He's a real rival for her to overcome. I'm also reading the manga "This is Screwed Up, but I was Reincarnated as a GIRL in Another World!" What annoys me about that manga, is how the author makes almost every male character seem silly or an idiot. It's a sign of a poor writer, if they have to constantly make almost everyone else incompetent, in order to make the main character look better. I'm glad the author for "The Brave Do Not Fear" seems to be avoiding that pitfall.

And then we come to the duel. The story at this point, takes a huge tonal shift. The guys that seemed normal previously, suddenly become cartoonishly evil. Before this point, the author stroke a balance between the real physical differences between men and women, and how they would disadvantage a female sword fighter. And the men were reasonable in how they treated Elizabeth. And then, out nowhere, two of them become mustache twirling villains that give villain speeches about how women should behave. I want the author to make the villains more believable than this. I'll let it slide for now, but we'll see where this heads.

At first, it seems like Beaubert's a good guy. He acknowledges that he'll never beat Elizabeth and gives her his assignment, so she still has a chance to become a hero. Humility, self sacrifice, and kindness. But that turns out to be a lie. Beaubert is just setting up Elizabeth to die. I like yuri. But I don't like it when authors create worlds where every single guy is bad in their world. Can't we get just one guy that isn't evil? You don't have to make all the men scum, to make the women look better. Give us a good male character. And give us an evil female character. Otherwise, the story becomes predictable. When you see a new male character, you'll know immediately that they will be bad.

I'm shocked that Elizabeth died. I was not expecting that severed head. Props to the author for having the balls to kill off the main character like that. Lesser authors would have had her miraculously kill 13 guys, with a broken arm and fever. I'm curious as to whether Elizabeth got sent back in time, or if she simply got resurrected with a new body. Very strong start to this series.
She basically resuscitate in a new body kinda, however, the time never changed, after she died it all stopped and she started to train~

Also, sorry if my reply is short but I really like your analysis on this whole situation! Good job!

She was a pain to translate, her japanese is not like the other character, she speaks with an extremely high vocabulary and stuff I've never seen in Japanese (which yes, admittedly I haven't been scanlating for long, but still...)

We could say that she's built differently

I feel that the tone shift was somewhat set up from the start. The hate/vengeance-focused Kyle, Glorious getting all misogynistic in trying to make Elizabeth his baby-making factory, Beaubert only having eyes for her tits...

So while the shift was way harder than expected, it was kinda clear she wasn't going to be respected by any of the male characters at the Institute.
Are the "bad guys" cartoonishly evil? Yes, but it's also kinda a common theme in many manga/anime...
And I do think they're believable, we're talking about a feudal/aristocratic society where they put the chance to instantly rise to the top of the societal ladder in front of everyone. The chance to attract douchebags to such an event is quite high~

Don't want to spoiler much but, on the first page you can see two dudes and I can assure you we still haven't seen them yet, so maybe there's hope?

If i can ask, what would be the rate of release of the tl on this one? It seems that the chapters are kinda long
As I said on the main thread, you can expect to be a bit longer than our usual, however, next chapters are way shorter (36 pages, a long chapter for our standards but nothing compared to 88 pages) so probably every two/three weeks?
There's also the problem that exam season is coming up for me so I've also gotta focus on my studies x_x

Solid points. Good men exist, but given the setting and the nature of people's goals, and the prize involved, she'll encounter a higher ratio of bad guys. I'll still hold out hope for a least one good guy. Maybe a wingman type that can aid her, and provide a different perspective.

Look at the cover page.
On the cover page, it says: "The men at the academy shunned her and told her to give up because she was a woman." Touché. But it says "the men at the academy". Maybe she'll meet a decent guy outside of that setting. Don't get me wrong, I still want yuri to win. I just don't want to see all men depicted as bad, in the process. But that may very well be what we get. Time will tell. The writing is so good, I may just stomach it, if it turns out that way.

Always... It's fucking always the same bullshit about this Isekai gore violence with a Fem MC. If she's not getting rape in the first chapter, she will be in the next ones or someone will attempt to.

And everytime the case is treated like shit. It's like a casual bad event. "She get raped ? That's just bad luck. It happens to everyone women. We will just forget about it and go on with our life. Yay ! If we have some chance we will kill the bad guys and everything will be fine."

Rape is something that breaks people for life. I'm so tired to see it used so lightly like some bad think that happens in your day.

It wasn't necessary to go to that expend to show how shitty it is for a woman to make it a name in a world ruled by men. Other mangas did it and they didn't get their Fem MC get gang raped and beheaded for that.

Next chapters spoiler:
Looking at the upcoming chapters visually (I don't speak Japanese, Fmefw does), it looks like Elizabeth still has that trauma within herself, and flashbacks come during certain triggers. Yeah I mean, I don't know why they take this long to acknowledge this anyway but as far as I know could be a copying mechanism (our brain tends to remove traumatic experiences from our memory)
