So, went looking to see if I could figure out the meaning of the "gun-kata doberman", and while I could confirm that it seems [ドーベルマ] does translate to "Doberman", it's the [ガンー〇ク] portion that is throwing me, because I have no clue what to replace "〇" with... Unless it's just a reference to this image?

I'm looking at the ２丁拳銃の助っ人( 2-chou kenjuu no suketto, literally "dual-pistol's assistant), and by searching that, it seems that there is a comedic duo in Japan that goes by the name 2-chou kenjuu. One of them by the name of Shuuji Kawatani has a wife, Yukiko Nomura. His wife sometimes goes on to support her husband's comedic skits such as promoting them or being a commentator or so.

As for the doberman subtext, it maybe a subculture kind of thing since I wasn't able to find anything that links 2-chou kenjuu with a doberman. It might be an inside joke only Japanese can get.

In the context, what Nanahoshi said was something along the lines of "someone who is close to them and could be a support role of sorts".

Though it could be in reference to her harsh critique? But that doesn't really make sense in context for the situation, either. I wish I had a better grasp of Japanese to figure out what the fill-in is meant to be.

There is a character in DQX called [ベルマ] "Velma" who is also referred to as a "Dog of the State" but I doubt that's the link, either.

Don't know if it helps much, but I think it's actually ガンー〇タドーベルマソ - the raws are so crappy and lores the タlooks like a ク.
unless you zoom way the eff in. It's mixing the bit sticking out to the lower right but that's optional and I think the mid crossbar is definitely there.

Maybe it's a reference to the 1997 french movie Dobermann here is it's wikipedia entry
It's a brutal action/gangster movie where the main character (nicknamed Dobermann) use a heavily modified gun, with some stylish gun-kata style fights.
Many french movies had been very popular in Japan, so it's quite possible...
