They're talking about him thinking that she's going to be angry with him, and also about her saying that she likes another guy and him not realizing that it's him. Is she going to get naked in front of another man who isn't the guy she likes? The author exaggerated the density of this character. Every romantic comedy MC is designed to be dense, but in his case the author went overboard.

There's a matter of suspension of disbelief. Like I might not be so keen on muscle girls (for one example.) but if one is practically pulling my dick out I'm either gonna yolo and get said dick wet or have a very clear conversation.
