The petting zoo date felt like the sort of unhinged gag chapter you'd start to see once a manga's been axed but since then the story's been trying and failing to course correct.
I think the premise of the story is sweet but I personally feel we might've gotten all we need from it; the reveal of the two reincarnators, their intertwined fates, and giving half their lives to each other. Easy, adorable.
Everything else so far, while cute, has been pointless or even frustrating, and I say this as a huge fan of Kawasaki's antics.
