On chapter 2 it was "attributeless", as opposed to inherent magic which uses one's "attribute".
MC's attributes are "sleep" and "sloth".

Whether its a translation choice or if there is legitimate reason though...

It's obvious that he'll fail at following the plot anyway so why is he trying.
