so mc is practically to become a different existence and that other dude is going to inherit the berserker tittle. I mean there's no other way to counter his previous job but to transcend. Hopefully he will finally kill that other summoned mf and captain hook as well

Game-logic-wise, I never understood why the MC ever thought that, after taking a high-job, that he can just scrub it and take another any time soon. In most games, once you're on a path, you're on it. No backsies.

Other than that, I really fucking hope the author isn't going to make "The hero" into a Berserker. I really dislike this tendencies in manga, where there's this character nobody likes, but the author keep finding ways to push them onto the stage.
If "the hero" is going to be a villain, I had hoped it'd at least be for a "good reason", and not because: "big titty princess told me to c:"

I kinda get it. "Berserker" is such a powerful, almost Malevolent existence, dedicated entirely to battle, forgoing reason or restraint. That's what it's supposed to be. When you consider how that translates into Real World mechanics, such a person would have to be blood-thirsty and callous beyond civilized standards. So the idea of requiring to sacrifice an entire nation in order to obtain the title pretty much implies that no normal person would ever rise (or fall) to the required level. MC obtained the title when the stakes were far less tangible. Killing NPCs or player characters that wore less severe penalties than permanent death makes it simple to climb the level. If you had to really turn into a killer... yeah, the eligible pool suddenly drops to single digits, if that.

So I doubt the MC would do it, knowing the stakes now. The other "Hero" on the other hand, might be broken enough to do it.

More importantly, does anyone else think the Princess already qualifies? She is callous enough and her nation has sacrificed plenty of soldiers and other races. I reckon she could.

they will probably come up with some reason he can like the game worked like RO and once max level you can reroll completely and be stronger

I fucking swear if they give the berserker title and armor to the hero just to make him relevant against Touya again I will flip my shit. That guy is HORRIBLE and giving him Touya’s past job just to make him be able to go toe to toe with him is going to be so shit.

It sucks that Touya can’t wear the armor as the sage. But being a sage that can use a great sword AND magic might be a narrative tool pushing for a Touya that has the resolve to accept the fact that he’s no longer the Berserker, and thus can be more than even the Berserker and Hero combined.

Sigh, I really don’t want the hero to be back again. The dude is a piece of shit.

Thanks so much for the translation! I always like this one because it feels like there are never any irrelevant/filler chapters.

It's pretty obvious the "Hero" is going to get the Berserker armor, Touya is STILL too busy treating this like its a 1 to 1 of the game he played. The author might as well have made him a Berserker to begin with because he has still yet to display the "wisdom" or "knowledge" a Sage should have.

So in order to achieve the Beserker class he needs to kill a shit ton of people? Yeah, it really does look like the Hero is more closer on that way towards the path. That sucks.

I don’t really understand his obsession with whole berserk thingy.

Is it because “I was best of the best of the best before because I was berserker”? He is already best of the best of the best, and even proved that he doesn’t need to be any fighter class to beat the crap out of so-called hero (and other mercs) with a huge-arse piece of junk called a greatsword or something.

Ah yes, the mc is still being retarded childish as usual. Also yeah, I would also hate that hero becoming berserker for the sake of retarded shounen-like plot. But that seems like where things are going. Finally I remember why I kept feeling like I shouldn't read this. The plot is just like usual shounen trash.
