Cool! Racism has been a component of the narrative since chapter 1, so seeing this arc focus super hard on it sounds fun. I thought the Dragon in the mountains was kind of dull, hope this ends up being interesting

How? How can you know about all his pro peace actions and come to that conclusion?
Fear because he have a demon wife and two kids, so she perceives his loyalties might be out of line if war breaks out. Same fear that causes governments to target people groups because they may turn. The Japanese in the US, Jews and others in Germany, people in general in the USSR, China, Cambodia, ext...

He really doesn't have any material reason to help humans. With his power, and the known fact that he isn't of this world, it would make sense for him to support the demons for the sake of his family as well as the fact that they respect power.

His family benefits from peace obviously, but she's referring to a worst case scenario where total and open war has already happened.

Of course, she is misinterpreting the subtext of his words here. While she may believe he is trying to push certain ideals, it's difficult for her to accept that he doesn't have conditions or limits to said idealism. She thinks he's setting down the line to cross here. She also fails to realize them keeping this a secret previously was for entirely practical reasons. Think about it from her perspective as a ruler, this really looks like a demon kingdom splinter group more than anything else.

I like how half the chapter the kids are just doing baby things and nobody can stop them. I wonder if either mangaka are parents lol.

I think it's more to do with not wanting to push his ideals to the breaking point, moreso than a misunderstanding on wording. As stated, she does not want to test him in any way, as she has this negative perspective on her relations with him, as there is little reason for him to side with humans over the demons.

Of course, this pessimistic outlook does open up up to misinterpretation of subtext, but I feel like it is less of a deliberate misunderstanding and more wanton avoidance of creating another enemy, one that neither the demons nor humans could stop.

Also, the children are menaces, and not even the attempted assassination of the queen will change that.

Thank you for the chapter. Was quite funny seeing the kids shenanigans again 😂
Well now that your calm after trying to kill people let's talk about how to make your goals happen.
I have a feeling they are going to find or make a place where races can get a long sooner rather than later

I think she's overreacting by saying he'll side with the demons. Though she doesn't know just how much he wants people to live together.

Poor horsies.

She really should've just joined him. It'd be perfect for her, if she could fix her personality.
