They still haven't given an actual reason Tyuule chose to stay behind. Like... why? "Oh this bitch attacked me so I won't let myself be happy even if people are defending me"? I just can't wrap my head around what they're trying to get at with her choosing to be miserable when she literally keeps saying she WANTS to go with him. Just forced drama bs.
If you are alright with spoilers
Tyuule stayed behind to kill Zorzal. She returned to him when they were about to hit Italica. She then killed him but not without a fight which they then both die.

This will be ending soon. The JSDF officers that stayed behind lived there while others like the some of the beast people and Sherry stayed in Japan. The Gate has a sequel not many know about. It is titled:
Gate Season 2: Jieitai Kano Umi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri

Takes place 4 years after the Gate was closed. The gate was opened again and the main focus is a submarine crew tasked to save an American journalist that was kidnapped by maybe pirates. They don't know who kidnapped the journalist. They then traverse the seas and encounter new nations. Itami is there but only through a supporting role. No Leilei, Rory or Tuka. A new batch of girls for the harem lineup.

No manga. Just a light novel.

I have no idea how they got a freakin attack sub in the special region's waters especially with how far the gate is located to any body of water. I don't even know how the hell they got a Kawasaki C-1 to fit in the freakin gate. Those things were not meant for routine disassembly then reassembled after.

There are no news of the manga ending that I know of. It's possible it will continue.

You've missed out the additional volumes in-between season 1 and season 2. While these are labeled as gaiden stories, it's almost as much story as what has been covered so far, and more or less features the existing main cast including Itami and girls.

Discounting the truly gaiden volume 10 which is assorted side stories, there's enough stuff there for the manga to run another half decade imo.

It's so convenient that those goofy bug monsters just happened to be ready to invade, both now and in the past chapter. Are these things intelligent, or is it just a happy coincidence? At least military firepower still triumphs over primitive beasts, even if these beasts are bordering smaller kaiju sizes.

If they are bugs, then you'd expect them to always be ready to fight. Take ants or wasps - after the initial encounter they just keep pouring in until whatever opponent is dead or the whole hive is. I mean, it's not like they stock up on weapons or anything, there's nothing to prepare.

i hope not, i realy love that manga...
I think it's best to close this chapter and create another serial continuing the story. Or a side story.
I actually was expecting more shitshow based on how China and US intervened, and it's one facet that's not been resolved yet: how the world would react now that the gate has closed (and they can't reopen it from their side)

yeah, maybe the gate opened in their nest, or perhaps their world is simply filled to the brim with insects

Wherever it opened, their attention to it was drawn either by the Chinese guy getting brave-new-worlded or the JSDF taking a few chunks out of whatever that flower monster was. They were probably clustered around the spot when it opened again.

She has a broken spirit.

Sure, it may sound stupid at first, but she dealt with so much that a part of her thinks she is undeserving of salvation, it is pretty common.

Just before that, Furuta had just saved her from being gang raped... oh sure, you could say she turned it on those asshole, but can you imagine it... how it must be to be forced upon by people who only see you as a thing? And having to lower yourself to be a "deviant" at their level so that you can screw them over?

Yeah... it would be great if she went with him, but... she is just tired... and i think she wants to take one last thing in her own hands... after all he did to her, after the lies he spun to make even her people to hate her, do you think she will be at peace leaving Zorzal alive?

Revenge may be a sucker's game... but there are people that are deserving of it.

We can only hope she can find at least some happiness... if not, at least some peace.

The way they act we can infer that this is a classic hive type of monster, if not the full on "hive mind link", it at least happened in a point where there are a large concentration of them, and like you said, that "flower" monster may be some sort of "bug leader".

After being injured by "prey" that it doesnt understand it got royally pissed... lets hope these things don't carry egss with them at all times.

Cockroaches, even when killed, can have fertilized eggs inside them... and if not properly disposed can still be a problem.

Man... I hope this isn't ending yet... there is a good arc worth, maybe two, of things that can be done with them marooned on that world.

Can anyone say if there is any notice about how this series is going in Japan? Is it popular? Is there any announcement about what the authors intend?

Sorry for bothering, I SUCK searching for things like that.

Anyone should not wonder why Tyuule stay behind because she got one more thing to do. This looks like it's plot almost like the one in light novel

I know Sherry is just manipulating Furuta, but I wonder if Delilah is doing the same or if she is actually starting to question her views on Tyuule. That shot of him looking up at the wedding dress shop after the crash was so sad.

Also, I hate Tyranids. If only the JSDF had an Immolator to go with Canoness Rory and Sister Superior Shino.
