It's true, talking and sparking conflicts is easy when you don't think about what you would have to lose from said conflict, and they better remember that even if you win there's no guarantee you'll get them back.

Tbf, more people in real life need to keep this in their mind.

Pretty effective way of dealing with her indoctrination.
Also getting that lesbian haircut simp knight get thrown around was satisfying

I don't mind this resolution. Call it "talk no jutsu" all you want but a giant action scene wouldn't fit this manga and would leave Chloe out of the action.
Thank you for the chapter!

the climax so far has been a lot more mid than what we were getting, at least make it like Zoe too had her mind manipulated by an ability from her family, rather than kill a kid because of that, like the fashion is going to go in flames is a lot less impactful than killing a kid because your family told you.

Normally you cover up plots like these by sending the perpetrators to the convent. But we're already at the highest level of a convent in universe so I dont see an out apart from execution, since they did slate the other brainwashed noble for that last time. They did already kill a kid as the pretense for the story. A public spectacle of this cant be good for their religous authority faction, but hiding them away is not in the best interest for any party involved (unless were getting a schism rebellion arc next)

Wait. . What. . Are you trying to reframe her as victim.

If our guys guess is right. She planned a murder and killed a kid. Whatever the reason, what she has done doesn't change.
Simply meting out punishment is kinda pointless and the goal should be for her to understand what she did wrong and hopefully reform. Neither her being a victim of indoctrination nor her past crimes erase the other, since they are both true and relevant.
