i wonder how many ppl would've immediately put them down (wonder the legality on that) or abandon them but interesting style to do such a serious story, although wouldn't he die eventually without that shot if they call it 'dog death'? versus just permanent

I never thought about that. If they just abandon or put down the family members. Their lifespan is shorter too

Yeah wouldn’t be the most ethical but bet you could prolly find a group of schoolchildren to take it in abandon them near a park/elementary school

Tho more of a horror if their memories are intact and spend their days being abused as “revenge”

Even more of a reason not to return them back. The only reason I can imagine is moral.

Esp if it’s something the doctor would feel obligated to do but I can totally find some ppl trying to recreate it and spread it to like take care of inheritance problems but it’d be nice if ppl also retained memories of being a dog and changing for the better
