What events?
Once again, I find this to be lacking. Instead of her putting in effort to make the relationship work, leveling with him genuinely, she manipulates him with abandonment and some over-the-top promise of domination. No expression of equal interest or setting the boundaries of a safe relationship, no checking with him what he is comfortable with, just basically an ultimatum. It's just not a good basis for romance. It's ok for a porn scene, but it's just lacking when it comes to romance, in my humble opinion. It reads like a typical shoujo/josei romance story, where a man is made to pursue a woman, which is fine, but it just does not work in a sensitive situation like a bdsm dynamic, if the woman is the domme.
