I hope that after this big purge, they'll leave Mangadex alone for a while at least. But it's a huge shame that so many series won't get new updates here and that many scanlators are leaving anyway. This is the best site for manga that I've used ever since I started reading manga about 15 years ago. Direct links to tracking sites, to the stores, no ads... If you ever decide to move, do tell us please.

Haha, we got to see Kuji all jealous back in Chapter 10 (when Azuma called him while out drinking with his new colleagues), and he just... hung up on him 😂 So this feels like way overdue payback.

If it comes to it, start uploading to Comick, you only need permission from their staff to upload, just ask them in Discord and they should agree, the links are all on the main page. A lot of scanlation groups are moving there.

Yeah the hits have been by the biggest publishers banding together. I don't think any Shoujo or Josei manga have been hit, and most BL I think fall there (I might be wrong here).

Lol at Azuma’s jealousy. Does this mean he has been sleeping with other guys? I thought he turned down that one guy, which symbolized that he wasn’t gonna see anyone else? Or is this just a declaration for Kuji to know even though he actually hasn’t been with anyone else for a while now?

Also, I love how his family clearly talks about Kuji even though Azuma refuses to confirm anything. I want to know what Kuji’s brother thinks. His friend clearly knows he’s seeing someone (from the chapter where Kuji gifted a bunch of books), but Kuji played coy.

I know some shoujo and josei series have been hit. If you go on twitter and search mangadex and shoujo, you can find lists with hundreds of titles that were taken down. There’s also the mangadex subreddit that’s trying to put together a list of every title that was taken down. Most of them were works with official translations; some of which were out of print, but I did read that there were some titles that weren’t licensed yet that got taken down. I did see some speculation that those titles were licensed but just not worked on yet. Fortunately for me, nothing I read got hit. Anyway, I’ve been reading manga online for decades down. Whenever one site has issues, multiple pop up to take it’s place, but it’s true that we lose some works in the transition to the new site.

My jp is far from fluent so if I had tried to read it in jp I wouldn't have been able to fully enjoy and appreciate all of Azuma's beautifully articulated thoughts or their craft of translation. Even if this series gets licensed (and I sure hope it does!), I'd still owe you my life for making it accessible in the first place 😭 (I actually only made a forum account to thank you haha)

The poor guy probably doesn’t have time to sleep around nowadays! 😂 But I think you’re right; Azuma’s turning point was chapters ago when he turned that guy down and this is just making it “official”.

The dynamic with his mother is interesting, and I wonder if it’ll eventually be addressed. (You might remember in volume 2 when he visited her, and it looked like she was about to say something but didn’t.) The thoughtful handling of the characters’ sexualities (especially when compared to other BL titles) is one of the strengths of this series imo, so I hope it gets resolved!
