this is so relatable for me as a person who had friends that went away to different cities and countries.
Growing up is like the most painful part of being a kid. I still remember those fun times with my friends and those bittersweet moments when i met my first love in middle school but I'm still glad i grew up.

I read this because the description seemed like a disaster. But this was actually a really adorable coming of age story and it actually resolves issues very nicely. It's not too long, not too short, characters are great. I did not go into this expecting to love it as much as I did for sure.
