Page 17 was definitely a confession. I think there may be rules for manga in certain publications ratings that they can't have blatant incest. Its always only implied or hinted at or joked about unless its porn or seinen.

Take Oreimo for example. SPOILERS:

Everything in that finale pointed to the siblings staying together, Kyousuke rejects every girl in his life for Kirino but then breaks up with her, only for the author to hint that they stayed together behind everyone's back in interviews. And then the author's next work features STEP siblings. And the Oreimo visual novels that feature Kirino ends retcon them to be step siblings as well.

So don't be quick to blame the writers. Sometimes their hands are tied and they have to work with what they got. We just have to believe in their intent. I believe these two confessed their love in page 17 after that fade out.

It's a shame that not just the incest part didn't get anywhere, but neither did the romance aspect of this manga. I hope it's only because it seems like it got axed, but it really is unfortunate that it lacked that direction at all for the ending.

That said, I disagree that this manga was trash. I surprisingly found this kind of... inspiring? I always lacked a direction by which to take my artistic career as a writer, not only advertising it but also emotionally. But with how this manga tackled this theme, it actually motivated me to start giving my all to my craft. Thanks for translating this!

Could've been worse, could've been better. Overall a really enjoyable manga that had to sadly end too early. Wish there was more done with the incest side of things but Overall a satisfying ending, at least to me.

Shame this ended early but the direction could've been better especially if romance was intended to be developed. At least the author's other work is still ongoing if that counts for something. Thanks for completing this short manga after it got dropped a few years ago.
