At this point I'm all but suspecting mdex competitors banded up to pay someone "more official" to reach out to Japanese conglomerates to target mdex with a copyright wave.

That's a pretty big tax to pay in cash, but at the same time we don't know how much those stones cost. You should be incentivizing people to enter your dungeons not driving them away.

Also, a 45% might be very reasonable depending on how the rest is organised. For example, if adventurers are only taxed on crystals and nothing else, and if part of that 45% is set apart for social contribution, and many other things ... Though I doubt the author put much thought on that subject.
