Although that manga was already completed and available for free on our website, I'm waiting the 30 days to do the final update with the last 5 chapters on MangaDex. So, this Saturday or Sunday the final update of that manga is coming.

Yes, I understand you, and at the beginning it’s true — my “paywall” methodology was the following:

Let’s say I found a manga with 10 chapters that hasn’t been translated yet. I would translate the first 5 chapters and upload them to MangaDex. Then, chapters 6 and 7 would be released for free on our website, and finally, chapters 8, 9, and 10 would go behind a paywall. That was how I used to work before.

However, due to what happened with MangaDex, I’m currently keeping the same amount of free chapters both on my website and on MangaDex.

And of course, for mangas like this one — for example, we’re already working up to chapter 26, which is the latest raw — I can’t place it behind a paywall because we didn’t start this manga from chapter 0. There are just a few chapters (based on the workflow I mentioned earlier).

This manga was picked by another staff member, and also because it’s not ecchi. Usually, the mangas I personally choose to work on that are ecchi and have a lot of chapters are the ones that commonly go behind the paywall. Romcoms, we usually don’t place behind paywalls — there are exceptions, but meh, I prefer to mainly place ecchi titles behind the paywall.
