This new girl is completely unnecessary and I don't like that we're doing this trope even with an established relationship. No, trying to break up a happy couple is not reasonable no matter the backstory. That's not a rival that's an ass.

It's either this ends quickly and I wonder why we did this in the first place, or we get a bunch of chapters with this girl trying to flirt with a taken woman and I wonder why we did this in the first place.

Of course she won't be treated like a bad person, she'll be treated like a "misunderstood," sad character whose attempted home wrecking is just an unfortunate situation and we'll all be friends.

I have a habit of placing complementary chocolate in my coat pockets and then eating them later. If the seasons happen to change suddenly, the choco is stored there until next time I wear the coat.
I will still eat the choco, even if it might be year more older.

I guess the point is to test shun's resolve as in how certain of her feelings she is. Will this challenge her perception of herself? How do you act when in a relationship and someone is hitting on you? Do you panic and freeze up not knowing what to do and then feel guilty about it later? Will she feel unworthy of the prince after losing her confidence yada yada yada.

This is sort of a realistic turn of events. I don't think most of us want to see it though.

A little fluff before this would've been nice...

New girl is going down in flames. A love rival when the MC hasn't made up their mind about someone is one thing but they've confessed and are dating. I don't think that minute long meeting means much to Shun so there's not even any competition. Maybe the coming arc is more about Hinata learning she doesn't need to be possessive about Shun.
