It makes sense that while there are clear analogs to traditional foods, Taishou at his core is trained to cook izakaya food, which are fundamentally different preparations.

Taishou was trained at a traditional restaurant, a ryotei, the one run by Shinobu's family. It comes up in chapter 26. I think Ludwig the elder's criticism is just that Taisho's cooking isn't like traditional Aitherian cooking, probably because Taisho isn't Aitherian.

Edwin's arc has been over for nearly 100 chapters but he still shows up constantly.

My issue isn't a lack of major action by these characters, it's the lack of presence altogether.

That is it. We don’t know anything else about him even though we see him being around big shots. Hell, we don’t even see his first time in Nobu. He’s the only main character that we haven’t seen it for
