Do you read David and Goliath and think, 'Bullshit, this would never happen; Goliath is like ten times David's size!' Do you get this pissed off every time you see a a fighting game with girls in it? The problem is the “win-condition” isn’t realistic and undermines Rindou as a character and her motives.

The slingshot is established as a tool for David and works cause Goliath underestimated him.

Here Fuwa is clearly understanding how bad this situation is but doesn’t think once about attacking her back.

It’s not that she used some unconventional means outside of fighting with the environment or anything.

She changed the clock timer then jumps the guy after it rings early.

If this were a real fight that wouldn’t work because that’s using the convention of the timer as a crutch to win.

Even if Fuwa would never have killed her in an actual fight because of his values. She’d never win realistically without abusing the timer because she doesn’t do anything better than him or anything outside of Fuwa’s MMA type fighting.

It’s also bad narratively because she agreed to the time limit ending the fight. So as a reader seeing her mess with the timer to get her way as a way to end this 4 chapter fight because of feels like everything else is padding and like a cop out ( no reason why reader would guess she changed things and the reader doesn’t feel she’s strong for that either rather cheap and desperate.)

Finally her point is she only needs violence to win but the timer undermines that violence she did is something only possible within the conventions of the fight.

(which even this grapple shouldn’t work because if author thought about it Fuwa could just slam her into the ground and 10 seconds isn’t enough time for Someone to realistically lose breath either.

Whatever the case even if all my criticism is invalid. It would’ve been more interesting to see her lose or win with some actual street fighting.

Because where does she go from here? She doesn’t feel strong for winning that fight but she also just defeated the strongest MMA fighter. Heck she’s not learned anything new and MC didn’t either.

My point is even if say everyone found this fun (which majority didn’t) it doesn’t push the story forward meaningfully in any way.

Goliath would not have fallen over from a rock to the head like a chump, dude was a freaking mountain of a man, and even if he did , he would have grabbed David when he went in for the kill and crushed him.

Such Bad Writing, now there is no believable challenger for David.

David used a slingshot, a ranged weapon, the antiquity equivalent of a rifle.
If she had shot the guy with a gun or beaten him to death with a crowbar no one would bat an eye because yeah that makes sense.

That's realistic, you can't really get out of the fully locked-in rear naked choke, you can actually go on TikTok, bunch dudes have recently been trying it with their girlfriends who haven't trained in martial arts at up to that point and they just show them how to do a rear-naked choke and see if they could escape, they can't, however that's for a regular one, considering this is a standing rear-naked choke and the size difference, like look at the way she clings to him he could've just dropped on the back, might've been enough to escape, but I guess he just didn't think of it

Your rear-naked choke criticism is invalid, everything else is fine and I completely agree with, but when it comes to the rear-naked choke, fully locked in its pretty much impossible to get out, you start to lose consciousness right away so it's hard to think of any solutions even if there are any, like for example considering the size difference, yes, he could've just dropped on the back and it might've been enough to free him, but considering he is losing consciousness and that this probably his first time in this situation you could say he just didn't come up with it, cause usually you can't get out of it in that situation like that, as the person you are fighting is around your size, unlike here, so dropping back is rarely an option and in most cases you will already be on the ground
