well, at least they're high school age and not in their 40s (tho never too 'late' for love i guess), so plenty of time to move on, it did seem like a common school boy crush as opposed to a childhood friend who knew each other for like a decade , idk how well he rly knew her (well other than the other girl i doubt he would've seen her real 'fangirl side' about kirio but at that age i would've been happy having a platonic group of friends versus dating)
