Even if she did survive being buried alive in a bag, why would she re-bury the bag?
I hope they're just baiting us and the hand coming out of the soil was just the main character's imagination.
Most realistic scenario would be that someone else from teh company followed them out to the digging site, watched tehm leave, dug up arika's body then disposed of it more permanently then re-buried the bag (totally unnecessary)
