I'm happy the appeal finally clicked with Kou-chan! I guess it was a case of "the loli doth protest too much methinks". I mean if Kou really hated all the dress up times we would've seen brooding, despair and genuine anger/resentment. Not pouting, whining and flimsy protests. Experiencing it on her own terms instead of Natsuki breathing down her neck was all that was needed.

Now I'm wondering if on some deep unconscious level Kou was jealous of all his friends this whole series and just never admitted it to himself.

I thought there was genuine despair a few chapters back but i have to recognize that this is a comedy manga first so ofc it was played for laughs. Most of this chapter is like an intrusive thought and then trying to cheer up a friend so well see if hes actually liking being a child or if its gonna be back to doom soon.

That aside, im very confused why he would lie. I get in the moment panic but seriously? Its not like the truth isnt gonna come out and the longer you keep up the lie the worse it is, no?
