i forgot to put it in this chapter but it's mentioned on the next chapter (56) that when i don't give explanations for asterisks it usually means that i'm not confident about the translation :) i was already thinking about picking up another manga to TL so it depends if i'm interested enough in the story to TL it and how much load i'll have to take on.

The inability to clear the pollution in a distant region of the Kingdom lends suspicion to the Church of Light.

The beef with the church originates from MC's purification magic devices cutting into their waterworks purification revenue.

In the previous chapters, the church had sent agents to identify and assassinate the MC.

I see, asterisks are usually for explanations so maybe you could put a diff symbol like a question mark or so in parenthesis or so?

Good luck

Page 6:
I can't tell for sure if it's ツ or シ

It's "ツ" (tsu) instead of "シ" (shi).

Also, it's not "patsu", it's "ha--!" There's a small tsu, not a regular tsu. Ending a word with a small tsu means an abrupt stop. In this case, it's an expression of surprise by Maria.
