Short version, when MC was put on trial for suspicion of being a spy for an enemy country, he took the chance in a public court to announce his breaking off the engagement with Erika before he was put in detainment. Once the evil(?) doctor lessened his sentence to be his guinea pig, he's been going around training, getting stronger and finding means to progress the plot without him getting killed off, while Erika looked like she got stronger in her own ways, and seeming to refuse his wish to break off the engagement.

TBH, I've always bought my kindle stuff off the US store even though I am not living there. No big deal if I use a service that doesn't charge international transaction fees on top of market rate exchange rates, plus the bonus points system stretches further relative to my local currency.

Also it occurred to me as I'm going through the first volume of the official TL; the game world feels like it borrows a bit from the Tales series of games. The side-scrolling combat, and Reiner is a bit of a bell-ringer for Tales of Phantasia's Cless. Harold himself kinda feels like a budget, over the top evil version of ToD's Leon

The only thing I pointed out is, Amazon is in many countries, but if a release is only available in Amazon USA, it means nothing whatsoever to anyone that speaks English that does not belong to that country, so it being or not being available in the USA is completely irrelevant to many of us. So please do not assume that release solves much, if anything at all.
Plus, imports are not an option, keep in mind a 10$ volume will end up costing close to 30 or 40$ to import it, so it's honestly not even a realistic solution.

Seriously, keep your guns in the safe...

2nd language English speakers around the world: 1B
Native English speakers within the USA: 245M
Countries with EN as their first language: UK, USA, CA, AU, NZ
Countries with EN as their secondary language: The World

So, who cares about "my" country when the entire planet consumes English language content, safe some specific nations.
