No, this is just a sight gag/pun that got lost in translation. Rimon called himself "kami no ko (son of god)" this whole arc, but ended up ruling over "kame no ko (sons of turtles)." Usually I'd change the pun to something that makes sense in English, but when there's a visual element involved it's often impossible.
