Anybody else thought Puck was looking kinda ... malnourished? I cant shake the feeling that the art is not up to what Miura delivered. It is 80 % there, but sometimes it just looks strange, proportionwise etc, too often. Well, no use in complaining,

Look back over the chapters and see who's been translating them. Evil Genius have been doing Berserk for twenty years, ever since Band of the Hawk disbanded, and they were translating it from the very beginning. That Android dude isn't worth spitting on. His translation is garbage, but for some reason he decided to stick his head in once about 8 months ago because Evil Genius was like a day late doing the chapter, and I guess he got impatient this month too.

I won't say Evil Genius is perfect, because I don't read or speak Japanese so I can't speak to accuracy, but they've consistently put out good quality scans with dialogue that's easy to read and follow, and they typeset incredibly well so it looks good. Better than official releases sometimes. All of this to say, they've been at this for two decades, and that other person is apparently impatient and has no idea how to proofread a machine translation and just puts stuff out when he gets impatient at having to wait a couple hours more for a chapter. Even trying to compare them is laughable.

Get over yourself. I never said they had the rights to it. I said that the other guy was shit, and that after 20 years of working on the series, obviously they're better at it.

Also I will continue to actively disparage people who post machine-translated scans with left-aligned times new roman text and obvious ms paint squares spilling out of speech bubbles. If you're gonna try your hand at a legendary series that's already got a solid group working on it, at least put in some effort.

Also, if you have to machine translate it... maybe save us all the trouble and just don't? I'd rather wait for someone who can actually translate properly and make the dialogue readable than stumble through some AI slop and not understand what happened any better than if I'd just tried to read it raw. If you're impatient and want to read machine translation, there are tools out there that will do it automatically for you while the rest of us wait for someone with talent. 👍
