The guy who made the self-insert comment has such an L take imo. Honestly, while what Gotou is doing is bad in it own way and could hurt Akito, I always keep in mind that she was aware that he was doing it with other girls, and was okay with it to some degree, its evident by her still liking him. My speculation is that her crying at the festival was more like "Why didn't he invite me?", and PROBABLY less so "Are they doing it". Thats what Gotou thought when he saw Inukai and Akito together. She most likely did think that (Were they doing it?), but it was probably the first one (Why didn't he invite me?) a bit more.

Also i said this in another comment, in the chapter 68 comment section, Gotou isn't doing this to hurt Akito, but to get back at Inukai for going after Akito. And if people were PAYING ATTENTION to how Gotou sees Akito, you can see she both gave off an aura of, and IS an innocent girl, he started to like her, and things got complicated with him liking her and Agawa. Despite his attempts to make Agawa his girlfriend, he already knows she is a slut. He knows Akito isnt and wouldnt want her to go down that path, so naturally seeing her with Inukai would confuse him and bring on emotions of heartbreak and NTR, and have him make some brash/stupid decisions, It also strangley confirmed his own feelings, now knowing that he likes Akito and despite liking Agawa and Shina, he doesnt want anyone else to touch Akito (due to how he sees her). Now that doesn't excuse what he is doing is semi bad because if Akito started having casual sex and got used by guys "for Gotou," I wouldn't be too happy about that. I think him doing Shina in front of Inukai is a good thing because I DO NOT like him (Inukai) in the slightest. This probably would hurt Akito, but that's not his intention, plus at least he's honest about it being a bad thing, but also confessing that he likes all three of them (Akito, Agawa, Shina). IMO think replacing the words possessive and "bodily autonomy" with protective is more suitable.

Personally, I'm for Gotou doing this and telling Inukai not to go after Akito, and wanting her to himself. Gotou may be unlikeable, but he is the MC, we've been following HIS story, so naturally I'm going to cheer him on. My justification for this is it's him "protecting" her in his own way. Again, not an excuse this behavior, but screw it, im biased in favor of Gotou.

THE REALM OF DOUBLE STANDARDS
Also, this is leaning into a harem subtext kind of situation where it is natural for that relationship dynamic to be asymmetrical, in my OPINION, I'm for him wanting Akito to himself (and Agawa. Im over here hoping for a harem alt ending now🤞). He likes her, and she likes him. NOW, If they agree to be friends, or she leaves him (That may happen, but I don't think it will, I hope it won't happen), or he does some dumb shit like keeping their relationship blurred and vague, and she has sex with another guy due to actually being attracted to him, then okay, she is free to do that and Gotou would truly be at fault. But that isnt the case right now, She likes Gotou and vice versa, so doing it with another would be NTRish. Because she would be doing it to become a slut for Gotou, which i personally dont want to happen. It's technically the same right now with Gotou doing Shina, but also different, since Akito already knew he did it with other girls, yet she didnt do it with other guys. I personally wouldnt want Akito doing it with another in the name of "Its only fair", Until there is a clear up between Akito and Gotou where they either get in a relationship or remain friends. Thats ideal, I see so much more drama coming from this and NTR might happen even more between Akito and Gotou, But you never know, Inukai being resigned to the cuck chair was satisfying, so maybe Takeda will give us a wholesome resolution to this, hopefully🤞😭.

There is so much more nuance here, im surprised people have such surface-level povs. It's not like Akito is just some girl who Gotou likes and is pressed about due to seeing her with another guy. She's literally his childhood friend, and after a few dates and study sessions with her, and having sex with her, he has caught feelings for her, he was the only one to do that with her which in a way make it special for him as well, plus he views her as the innocent girl. Its only natural that he'd feel some type of way when you see the girl you like with a guy you dont like and you know his nature of being a playboy. Akito is old enough to make her own decisions, but she isnt. Inukai had manipulated her, telling her that Gotou likes sluts and in order for her to have a chance, she needs to become one herself.
