Such a strange concept. With the "MC" seemingly being really dead this story doesn't concern itself a lot with the fucking around outside of small flashbacks and snippets, but is all about the finding out throughout.
A villainess revenge story with an absent villainess and no revenge even needed, they all ruin themselves.

Huh, so is the concept here to eventually have the FMC appear again or is this effectively a dramatic portrayal of the fallout from from structural incompetence and greed?

Oh fuck yes, everything is falling apart very nicely. So when will they go to look for Fake Rorona to cancel/mitigate their downfall, in rural areas, succeed in finding one, and turns out it is the real Rorona in the end? kekw
(at least that's the plot I think that they are trying go here)

It would be cool if it was but i'm struggling to see a happy ending, plus i think it was heavily hinted in a previous chapter that FMC is still alive.

Yeah, no scheme needed, she just has to let reality come crashing down. (I think she is alive, but who knows?)

This is a very interesting take on the story.
