It feels like I just got 4 chapters jammed into my brain at once, I guess the take away is Ain is gullible as fuck and Yoru is beyond any kind of saving? Clearly her love is anything but normal or healthy or rational, perhaps it's related to her ability? And since Akutsu is still missing half his wings, does this mean Yoru is still alive somewhere sealed or just in hiding? And hopefully next chapter we find out how they swapped roles of angels and demons, perhaps it was some deal or plan between the demon king and God/A high ranking angel
There are so many "we are so back" and "we are so done" moment in a single chapter
At least we are getting it done in a single chapter instead of expanding this into 2 anime episodes
For those confused, Yoru's power is that she can destroy something she has "eaten" (bit into/"absorbed"). From the previous chapter, she accidentally destroys her own nail after biting it, and destroys another flower after she had put a flower in her mouth (in order to increase her understanding of the target). However, I don't think she fully understood the activation requirement until after the failed initial attempt to destroy Ain, since the revelation came just mere minutes before meeting Ain -- She kept studying after Yuri left for dinner first (mistranslation from the previous chapter), and spent the time to test out her power (by destroying her own forearms off screen, and bandaging it up, which she uses to trick Ain, and then unwraps and exposes in this chapter), got in disguise, and then got there before her sister finished dinner, so she may have thought she permanently enabled the ability, without needing to bite into Ain. (That's what she "reflected" on, not "remorse" as the scanlator had it).
Subsequently, Yoru transforming after eating/"absorbing" a part of Ain was a surprise to everyone involved. (although hinted to the audience from the open page of the book in the previous chapter (and throughout the story) that Angels and Demons lived in the same world long ago, and shared commonalities in their energy/abilities.
She also said she "slipped", not "teleported", so we don't actually know yet if what she hit Ain with was her actual power of destruction, or her now-half-angel power. (She hit Ain with her left hand and Yuri with her right hand)
Between the author's own slightly awkward/truncated writing, and not spelling things out for the suspense/mystery/twists, and the awkward translations (MTL?), which haven't been great, but passable for stuff that's less plot heavy, it's really showing its ugly head in this chapter. Can't complain much since no other group is scanlating though. The mistranslations in key moments really wreaked havoc on the understanding of the plot here though...
Also, we already had that weird brother/sister thing between Aine and Ain, now twincest between Yoru and Yuri... later
I guess we'll get to combine it all and get confirmation that Akutsu is the completed absorption of Ain into Yoru (night/dark), in order to save Yuri (lesbian) turning her into Lily (aka "Yuri ē¾åć»ćć", with its associated symbolism depending on the flower color). So Yoru + Ain = Akutsu. Oh, dark stepbro... š¤£
Probably not...
The first time Yuri stops her, that's the point of no return, and author pushed her past that point like, 3 more times? I see it as author trying to say that, heck, I'll make sure no one sympathize with her.
My crack pot theory is that she tried to save her sister by eating her. Which magicly meant that the new abomination was her sister and she became whatever that core that lives inside rn.
I don't get why so many people are saying this is confusing... just a flashback that is being pretty linear and has a siscon yandere girl that is probably going to kill both of them.
