no. Even the rate up banner doesn't have a pity limit for the UR unit.
This novel was created before pity system was applied.
This is experienced by early gacha games. Where These premium units are obtained at 0.5% (and all units shared this 0.5%. I think the rate up unit is in doubled probability where if specific unit in the 0.5% is 0.0125%, then the rate up is at 0.025%)

It's annoying that the author stopped letting him pull units that he wanted after the first three girls. Especially since enemies are getting stronger, and he needs stronger units. I bet the evil gacha dude is going to have those units next time we see him, and it will once again be played for laughs before MCs crew gets bodied.

Think about the opposite situation, where we get a vomit of characters with little screen time and no character development. I think we are okay at this pace of new characters.

These characters have already run their course for development. Now it's just the same old bash mc gags with them.

This is why I don't play Gachas without guarantees and "just buy it after 200 pulls" and such.

I avoid most Gachas just out of principle, but some of them are reasonable and have scaling rate ups with an eventual guarantee, and often times, a 50/50 before the guarantee.

Zenless Zone Zero being one of the more generous games I've ever played. Then there are games like Blue Archive which gives you a decent amount of currency for a free, a lot of units for free, and also have a 200 pull "just buy it" system on top of that.

This is why I hate gacha games.

I would rather add a new player character/avatar or buy a new weapon by grinding for currency or advancing the story than dealing with the rollercoaster bullshit of gacha.
