Good on him for being so determined. And yet, I can't shake the feeling that this is either a bad move, or a cop-out. Who's to say the author lets the arms stay there and not get taken by some third-party. Apparently just anyone can go down to Excalibur. Honestly, I'll be more impressed if the arms stay there until Jimmu feels ready and gets them back. Otherwise, I'll just be disappointed for calling it out this early.
At least this does explain Jimmu's behavior and the rushed feeling of early chapters. It's all to set this up.

yup is all just setting to let them get stolen, but it will take someone really strong, apparently it would break any normal human... I wonder if the author is planning for a long series (120 or 300 chapters) or something more compacted 25 or 50

The only thing we can say for certain right now, is that there will be no axe for the foreseeable future.

It's possible that the series was in peril, as some have speculated in the comments under earlier chapters, but even if that was the case, the risk is gone now.
