I don't know... the Count is nice to the redhead and all that, and after seeing how he treat the poor red-haired Cinderella, it's obvious it's a nice change of pace and makes you like him.

But... there's a huge fucking "but" in all of this: the guy has basically forgotten that redhead's sister died going to marry him... and apparently he doesn't give a shit about that, or what the redhead feels about her lost.

In a way, he's just like the sisters' parents; in their selfishness, they only care about their respective favorites... and the other one can be send to hell for all that it cares.

P.S. I hope this never get translated... its already crap enough that there's an anime version.

It sort of goes without saying that this story hinges on the MC having insecurity and trauma from her upbringing but I gotta say it gets pretty frustrating the degree to which she gets in the way of her own happiness even when she objectively knows better and is surrounded by all the support people could only wish they had in real life situations like this.

I haven't yet found out the explanation for WHY the household was such a trainwreck though I have some guesses. I find myself wondering if there will be any points of comparison with the 'Too Perfect Saint' series, though I know already there are some definite differences. For all the negative things they had to say about her they clearly were hiding some things behind the scenes.

Case in point - main character receives tons of education (compared to sister) and is actually allowed / forced to handle most of the actual administrative work? I just don't know yet if there was a long-term plan for all this but I find it hard to believe they didn't realize how dependent they were on her.

it's clr you didnt even bother to read a few chapters before starting to rant, otherwise you would know that all you stated is just utter bullshit.
