I keep reading for the messy emotions, so I'm not exactly criticizing... but this is so twisted and unfortunate as romances go! It's wrapped in that gothic monster melodrama feeling; it's toxic but the characters can't escape it. There's only downer endings set up, where at best they compromise their principles and honor.

Hahaha. Same reason why I picked it up. Unlike 9% of the webtoons, this story is unique, and you keep getting curious about what will happen. Aru is def a strong main character, and that's why I love her. While she is an ordinary girl, grew up in a village with loving friends, and of course hardships, she still tries to be positive for those around her, and she cares so much for them. I love the relationship between her and her brother, her bravery and how goofy Aru can be when she wants to.
