Wont it bcz even attacking it with physic n even magic cant damage it, instead debuff goes hard to it, n 2nd phase vice versa or something?
If that's the way to beat it it's not much of a paradox.

"named monster"
  • Doesn't actually have a name, but rather a species description
  • Is fought in the same moment it's introduced, which doesn't allow it to gain any "the dreaded" points that would make it a foe who'se defeat would be impressive
Author bongled the trope up.

The correct way to use it would be to do the introduction, but do not fire the chekhov's gun yet, instead have the main party be ignored or out of range of it to survive, making a later victory actually feel special

I think ita called a paradox beetle since it has a high defense plus those two skills that deflect physical and magical attacks. Its self contradictory i guess? It also has a hidden skill.
That beetle also used its skill to remove that poison. But in expense, its now aggressive to the point of killing itself in the proccess when time limit reached.

I'm interested by the story and the hidden gods and stuff but, a lot of the fights seem like they spend 50% of the time just striking poses. I really don't like the combat scenes in this.
Also this named monster is nowhere near as intimidating or interesting as the other ones, especially because of how the encounter went.

I thought it is called Paradox beetle because it is both rhino beetle and stag beetle, and yes, it does have 3rd phase i think

Yeah but i also mean its related to its skills also. One of the equipments or item they get on that beetle is also like that. I dont want to spoil more. Its one of the OP equipments the party have.

Thank you for translating
The scene from the original Trigun anime, where he knocks the giant's fist off course with 5 bullets might have been a better gif to use, but I get what you mean.
