It's always weird when the people from an actual medieval civilization start talking using terms like AoE. Like idk isn't it supposed to be a gaming term in midern world? If anything, they're more likely to use "area" or "wide area" instead.

And five B-rank mages? What's the problem? Just use the glock man. Or use that funny big caliber ammo thingy magic :kek:

Few things... We dont really know how people in olden times really talked exactly. There's nothing to say that they didnt use "area of effect" but abbreviated. Plus, it's magic... so... regular knowledge etc, can it really be applied lol? Where did gamers get AoE from in the first place? Did they make that up themselves? Who knows...

This seems like a problem a couple of hand grenades could solve right now.

Hey, how about shoot them? This might not be a problem if you shoot them? Just... kinda... shoot them?

Okay, rant time... Author, what the hell do you mean "he used triangulation"? I can't find any page where he measured anything, but let's assume he did want to know the distance to the trees he was aiming at - so he went around measuring angles, really? What the fuck for? He was so close to the target that estimating based on the number of steps it takes to reach it is both more accurate and quicker... This is even confirmed by the "strange tool" he supposedly later used - measuring distances by laser pointers can be done up to about 50m, after that it won't register the reflected signal properly. Triangulating would make sense if we were talking about a really distant object, like a ship on the horizon.

Why is it these people insist on using concepts they neither know anything about, nor are willing to properly look up and consider logically?
