That shinobu's reaction to the lost of taste... I have a feeling there will be some connection to the next chapter...

Especially since her family's restaurant was based off her sense of taste, so it's likely she'll recognize why the owner of the Four Winged Lion is going through issues.

Well as much as i want to use cold rice fo making fried rice, as someone that make food at the right before eating, i will just use freshly cooked rice lol

Where one of their dish left Nobu group unsure of how it was made (though they got close)?

True, but honestly, Nobu still a legit eminence in shadow though. The place has all the connections to the movers of the kingdom that see the place in positive manner. In fact without Nobu, many things would've gone wrong or never happened like the merchant guilds especially.

But Four Winged Lion was never for the commonfolks and the current chef would still be stuck in his old ways if he didn't know about Nobu's existence and sample their dishes.

And the other guilds wouldn't merge into one guild and many other events may never happened or took another direction.

It is a "What if" scenario.

Pretenses aside, the logic is sound. Everything he said makes perfect sense for a guard.
Hell, screw being a guard, it makes sense for any type of human being, the new guy needs to learn to relax and recover his mental batteries. Even if you don't realize it yourself, not having those moments to relax and let your guard down actually affect your productivity at work.
