Nope, this happened in the LN just like the manga is showing it.

The dwarf girl she found in the bar is the one she modeled the body after when she rebuilt this girl's body. As of volume 2 we've never seen the girl from the bar again (but the slave girl is a dead ringer for her after Karina rebuilds her)

Technically she has the power/skill to negate this type of attack, but she is basically unaware and stupid.

It's interesting twist that the author's last protagonist was a lower power, high intelligence type. But this protagonist is a high power, low intelligence type.

Also, this chapter is the end of volume 1. Volume 2 is set to be released on 8/27/2025.

yeah this plot isn't in the WN. in the WN some guys wanted to kidnap her, she beat down the kidnappers and stopped the slave market in the city by doing so. she wasn't able to buy one

but maybe they changed it in the LN? since the manga is adapting the LN
