1. It's okay to check your partner's phone; why treat it as a bad thing? Many relationships could be saved if partners were to embrace this.

2. His claim that women follow their desires is inaccurate. Men and women both do, except for devout religious individuals; everyone pursues their own desires.

3. Doing that to a kid — the writer is trying very hard to portray this guy as a villain.
Was your first bullet point sarcasm?

I wonder how she even ended up with this guy? Was he acting nicer before? Or is he blackmailing her with something? Otherwise she could just leave him there so there has to be something like that.

Honestly this feels pretty outrageously over-the-top, but this asshole is still undoubtedly one of the most detestable pieces of shit I've seen in a manga recently.

I might worded this wrongly. Many relationships could have been saved if partners were able to remove suspicious contacts from their partner's phone. For example, a man or woman might get work reports, memes, or news from an opposite gender coworker, which could lead to emotional closeness and possibly infidelity, ultimately damaging a marriage.

Really like all those comments on the previous chapter like "oh so she's just an M and it's all just top & bottom sex stuff, right"

Uh huh.
I mean literally why anyone would date some guy like him for longer than a couple of minutes unless they liked to be treated like shit?

Unless I'm wrong, aren't the Shiunji family very rich and runs a business? If so, then this nobody's pretty much one foot in the grave if something happens to her.

In the layman's term, this guy's poking at the hornet's nest.

God. Victim blaming is bad but now I feel like Banri deserves anything bad that could have happen to her.
Like seriously why is she dating this guy? It doesn't even feel like he is the type of person to hide his personality acting nice at first, so she probably knew he was an asshole and still chose to date him...?
I'm totally on the theory she is just dating him to get over her likely feelings for Arata but seriously she couldn't find anyone better?

No, you didn't word it poorly, I just think it's a bad take.

Someone's personal phone is their personal space. Demanding to invade that space on the grounds of "I want to monitor who you're talking to at all times because you might be cheating on me" just means you don't trust your partner at best, or you're abusively controlling at worst.

And anyone like that has things to sort out before they should be worrying about things like relationships.

The "couldn't find anyone better" doesn't feel right because....it's Banri. Wasn't she stupid popular? She'd have her pick of dudes or women, without question.

I'm guessing he has dirt on her, possibly by setting her up and is now blackmailing her into this for...access to her family?

Supposedly the family is super rich, I dunno how this was allowed to go on, but then again their dad is suspiciously hands-off given the ransom potential of any one of those kids. So I think Banri got sucked into something and is doing the whole "I can't tell anyone I'm in trouble because they'll get pulled in so I'm just suffering in silence instead".

If it's anything else like she chose him, then I don't know if I can really feel bad for her.

Hello, this is my first time trying this.

I am very curious and saddened on Banri's character for the past few chapters (She's my favorite). At first, I found her as reliable, level-headed sister. But suddenly when this act started, she became dumb. They have proper eduction and upbringing so why would she stick to a douchebag? She should know what is right or wrong at much earlier encounters right???

I am hoping that the author has some plan to redeem Banri's character again within this act.

Only explanation that works. Maybe the guy family is more powerful, or maybe he knows she is into Arata, but on that case, he would be less worried about her "cheating" with random guys and would worry about Arata himself.
In any case, even for the older sister wanting to avoid trouble for her family, I would be mad at Banri for possibly let things get so badly when she could have just get some help.
She even let her sisters talk about the guy as if he were a saint. Would she even let that monster meet her sisters?
