Theo would never. He isn't like Rudeus who cheats after saying that you will be my first wife. Aya will be his only wife. And polygamy custom only occurs in nobles, not in commoners.

Theo is one of the few characters who could actually MAKE harem work explicitly since he DOESN'T want one so his primary goal would be making sure all of them are emotionally okay and feel supported. As an aside, yeah Aya being totally olay with a harem was funny as hell.

Others who fit this mold are Yuu Ayase from the upcoming Mikadono Sisters anime(manga is also super good) and the OG himself, Tenchi Masaki.

Also, Rudeus is a sleazy POS with no real morals so the comparisons don't work.

Anyway, I know the translator is going on a break after this chapter. Is there going to be a change in release schedule when you come back?

I'm not sure. There are a couple factors.

Mostly my living situation after this injury is starting to look more uncertain so I need to figure out food and income and all that as I adjust to the possibility of never working in my old career again (because of the injury), and the family member I'm living with now is having their own medical issues and... yeah. I think I've been doing this as a way to procrastinate from all the more serious things. But food has been light lately and I need to get that figured out and other medical things too. (I'm not asking for money here, or even putting a donation link anywhere. Just conveying my current situation).

Anyway, don't want to overshare too much. It's all to say I don't really know. But this helps keep me busy and is better than only dealing with stressful things... and I don't like leaving projects unfinished...

So maybe once a week, maybe twice a month. Dunno. It's hard to say.

Regardless though, in 9 more chapter parts we'll be caught up to the Japanese monthly releases. At that point we'll all have to wait month to month.

yes, she's saying she respects (loves) him so much that it's ok even if she's not Theo's first wife

no, nothing in this story suggests that. Acat (the former bully in Theo's village) says he wanted multiple wives too in chapter 14. middle-eastern culture which Hyron is based off have commoners being polygamous too.

Also , this story eventually ending with Theo and Cynthea saving the world likely means their status at the end of the story would be comparable to nobles.

I have always wondered about what the endgame of Theo & Uira the thunder spirit would be, like could Theo have children with her?

maybe Cynthea and Sei too ; Sei didn't have any romance development since chapter 15 though so more likely Sei is out

Yeah Cynthea Loh Tei as a name is basically a reference to a Moon Goddess Empress.

There's a reference to a book at the beginning of 43 about a noble falling in love with a peasant, and it made me think of how Tei's name is basically "Empress Moon Goddess" and Theo grew up in a slum. Also "Theo" means "god" but I guess that's his name only in English. It's "Shio" basically everywhere else.

And there's a talk of fate by Sedona where she asks Theo if he thinks it means a girl falling out of the sky into his arms - which literally happens.

And then the mask of confession , and the visuals of the cranes while they are walking.
