Wasn't expecting all this school and tournament stuff. Thought it was just gonna be a man climbing and surviving on a singular mountain for the whole manga. I'll still keep reading to see how it developes

But yeah Haikyuu is definitely my favourite manga ever along with Kingdom and The ravages of time because (brace yourself this is long) :

1. It's realistic and the characters actually struggle asf to learn new skills in volleyball and the author really emphasises this point!!!
2. The games are soooo intense it just hypes me up smmm
3. There are soooo many characters, all so good and well written you're sure to find someone you'll like
also idk if an author has been able to write characters that feel just as real as hq characters feel it's insane
4. The rivalries between the characters are also very realistic and don't go too overboard they're just highschool students that want to play more and more vb
5. IT'S SO FUNNY there wasn't a single chapter or episode i wasn't laughing while reading/watching 😭
6. The artstyle is so unique idk I've never seen something quite like it and even tho it changes along the way it has its own specific vibe
7. THEY ACTUALLY LOSE!!!! They reallyyy don't have a plot armour 😋
8. The osts all throughout the seasons are so good i have them all in my playlist seriously tho they really did a great job at portraying all the characters' feelings into the songs
9. It teaches you not only vb and things abt sports, but also how to live your life healthily and to always become a better version of yourself.

even tho i tried to make a list with the most important points for me, i will never be able to describe haikyuu to its fullest


To sum everything up i just had the best time of my life reading and watching hq and it will forever remain the best piece of work ever created for me )

tell me if i convinced you 🤣 as i said i hope you read before watching but if you decide to watch first you have to get through the first episode which presents the mc and the context, it is quite a simple episode but it's nice
