Fantastic chapter. The Genos twist is great though Im thinking its a different person in the driver's seat. Either the AI is fully in control or this is a copy of the cyborg body.
A shame that Murata will probably miss the point and oversimplify everything.

I mean, probably Genos is a bad guy or something . . . but it still makes sense as just a mistake. I mean, assume Genos is just who he's always seemed to be. We knew Genos was trying to break into the bad guy's citadel and kill him. Bofoi sure LOOKS like the bad guy and has never bothered to try to clear his name because it would be "inefficient". Be ironic if his obsessive "efficiency" got him killed. And Genos has no way of knowing all the stuff Bofoi just told Child Emperor . . . which in any case may or may not be true.

So I'd say there's still room for doubt about just what's going on. (There's also room for doubt as to whether mr. mastermind actually died that simply)
we still haven't acquired the reason from drive knight. who is he?

There's MOUNTAINS of evidence that ONE no longer writes it. The last storyboard we know he did was the phoenix man fight. In which he delivered a 12 page storyboard which Murata turned into 3 redraws, +100 pages and entirely changed the ending of the storyboard.

You really think ONLY for the OPM manga ONE just decided to completely stop writing in his usual style and decided to have a bazillion redraws (when we know they were requested from Murata specifically) when this has NEVER been the casr in any of his other works? OPM webcomic, Mob Psycho 100, Versus, Bug Ego etc NEVER had any rewrite and all ooze of ONE's writing style. Meanwhile the manga long lost ONE's writing style and has a bazillion rewrites. And the writing style is VERY similar to Murata's attempts at writing his own oneshots at that.

And the whole "Story by ONE, Art by Murata" is a mistranslation. The original Japanese says "Original Story by ONE, Manga by Murata"

Like I stated earlier, you must be genuinely retarded to think ONE is writing the garbage that is the current manga and forcing Murata to make redraw after redraw. There's no evidence he has been writing it for the past 5 years. It's obvious he just let Murata take over so he can focus on his other works and the webcomic. The blame ONE has is that he stopped tard wrangling Murata and left him to his own devices.
Fucking thank you, no need for me to write it out now. This is something that has been obvious for years now. The lack of storyboards, the redraws, it's all been there the entire time and the evidence just keeps accumulating.

I genuinely don't understand how they can keep riding Murata's tiny talentless dick after the MA disaster. I've stopped reading forever ago and hearing the current horror stories, like 2 years of 3x ninja arc redraws and shit, makes me more and more baffled whenever I see morons defending it.

I knew Kuseno is a bad guy. Calling himself a scientist of justice was never not gonna be suspect.

Genos(ide)
Matches the two cyborgs from Neo Heroes.
Elimin(ate)
Destro( y)

Expanding a bit on that, I always wondered whether Genos and Kuseno were based on Osamu Tezukas Dämons (warning, it's a pretty gruesome read); only ever a small portion of it was translated online sadly, but if you look at Haight and Dr. Becker, they are very similar to Genos and Kuseno.

For Genos and Haight - their names are both based on extremely negative concepts; Genocide and Hate.
Both have a tragic backstory that led to them losing large portions of their body, a deficit they made up for through cyborgification; both tend to carry their spare arms around in suitcases. Both are driven by revenge, not caring much whether they perish in its pursuit, and crucially, both don't really distrust their doctors.

The doctor in Dämons is an extremely sketchy character outwardly, in contrast to Kuseno; but Kusenos actions make him look about the same. Genos is essentially a teenage-aged test subject for experimental weaponry, the world at large seems to be unaware of Kusenos genius, despite him apparently having a stable source of funding for the million-dollar operation Genos obviously must be. And then there's the fact that he is apparently an arms developer...

Here I thought it is :
Genos = Gen One Series
It's all crackpot theorizing but the endgoal philosopher's stone of AI is to create AGI, or artificial GENERAL intelligence. What if instead of it being gen, as in generation, it's gen - OS as in General Operating System?
Random thoughts if we're making theories

Yes, Murata revised, a lot. But at the end of the day, ONE has the final say on the story. Is said in most of interview back then. Its kinda crazy to expect them to always comment on it yearly just to please some unhinge fans..
  • Morikawa: Murata, One Punch Man is written without regarding ONE, right?
  • Murata: Oh, no, ONE teacher changed it... He changed it... So, we consult with each other.
  • Morikawa: Oh, I see.
And the whole "Story by ONE, Art by Murata" is a mistranslation. The original Japanese says "Original Story by ONE, Manga by Murata"
It’s true, but also 原作:Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:Zero), 原作:Rifujin na Magonote (Mushoku Tensei), and 原作:Fuse (Slime), etc. So what’s your point??
The only exception I can think of is Aiya Kyu (Shield Hero), who openly said she's both the writer and the artist for the manga adaptation.
Given how strict Japanese copyright laws are, doing otherwise without disclosure would be a scandal.
If ONE or Murata confirm it in the distant future, I’ll stand corrected. But until then...

You seem to love inserting highly biased and speculative opinions on this. Then again, you seem to be an expert on this matter, so maybe I should trust you…
