Shimamura is genuinely one of the most fascinating characters I’ve ever stumbled upon. For someone who is seemingly very disconnected from bonds, she is incredibly sensitive to them. If I was able to think like her I wonder how much I could’ve saved.

These last two chapters seem at first to be non-sequiturs completely divorced from the story we've been reading, and like the author was grasping for content to fill promised chapters, but honestly on second glance I think these are vitally important for showing us just how deeply Shimamura actually cares for Adachi, because her conscious self does such a poor job showing it.
