Being able to dematerialise like that is kind of OP, I mean it isn't actually OP but the applications of it make it an extremely useful power. Anyway it seems we now need to get ourselves a 3rd member of the harem, possibly using the gambling power.

The magician's ability seems pretty handy. I wonder what skills the other ghosts have. 🤔

Thanks for the upload, HeatManga.

Probably all utility/sex related powers.

It would be neat if one of his ghost friends grant Hiroto an offensive ability to defend himself in battle without making him OP to the point that he doesn't need help from Nirasawa or any future allies with combat abilities.

Let me present to you a dumb theory:

His father left, so his mother became lonely and tried to assault the MC, his step-sister saw that, became jealous and bewildered, used insta-kill on the mother. She regretted her dumb action, met the other sister, got manipulated into her current state.

One other theory is that, the current step-sister isn't actually his original step-sister at all, her soul got switched and the original is wandering off looking for her parents or something.

seems like you forgot, but the power is just the ability to misdirection. To the target, they are targeting someone right in front of them, to everyone else, they wonder why are they not aiming at the target.

-----

So the girl was a childhood friend rather than a slave, and now we have a duel between ghosts. Yeah, the two can return with ghosts tailing on them, but Ririka can see them, and warn her friend.

So what will happen to the body? Ririka doesn't know that it's possible to get it back by getting the current owner unconscious, but could Yamada blabber that out by accident?

If Ririka notices the two ghosts trailing them, she will know they won't have much time, although at the same time, she doesn't know about Hiroto's news abilities, and could grow overconfident. If Yamada blabbers it out, Ririka may not want her body to be damaged, but learning that Hiroto is not allied anymore with Nirasawa, she could decide to just kidnap him again.

Hiroto is clueless on why his stepsister wants to kill him, so you have to wonder why Hiroto never theorized that his stepmom's death is the reason why his stepsister wants to kill him in a specified time frame. So unless Hiroto's memory was altered or he wasn't aware that his stepmom was about to hurt him before his stepsister intervened, I don't think that's the case.

One other theory is that, the current step-sister isn't actually his original step-sister at all, her soul got switched and the original is wandering off looking for her parents or something.

Switched by who? If that's the case, it would be convenient for the real stepsister to find Hiroto and explain to him what's going on.

And what relationship does the fake stepsister have with the aunt and Hiroto?

Nirasawa may got her body back but she is still Hiroto's ally. She was willing to challenge Yuu before Hiroto told her he can handle her. Even the kidnappers are working with the assumption that Nirasawa will be around Hiroto during their kidnapping attempt.

Besides, even if Ririka knows the method of getting her body back without involving Hiroto, she still wants him kidnapped so she can have him tortured and murdered by her goons.

Hiroto never theorized that his stepmom's death is the reason why his stepsister wants to kill him in a specified time frame.
He did theorize that its because of his stepmom's death, he just doesn't know why he's being blamed for that.
So unless Hiroto's memory was altered or he wasn't aware that his stepmom was about to hurt him before his stepsister intervened, I don't think that's the case.
Both theory are based of what clues (at least I what I thought to be) have been given so far.

•It is implied that his step-sister doesn't want him being close to any woman. It could be because she misunderstood his power (as charm) or she knew what his ability is truly capable of. If she thought it was charm, that would lead to the first theory, If she knew what his ability truly is, that's probably because of the 2nd theory.

•The MC doesn't remember the step-sis motive, either because of memory loss caused by trauma, or just plain old memory alteration. If it were memory alteration, that would easily explain the sudden appearance of the other sister on his back story and the manipulating guess.

But hey, It's just a theory. It can 100% be wrong.

I think Hiroto only wonders why he's being blamed for his stepmom's death. I don't think he went as far to believe that his stepmom's death is the reason why his stepsister wants him dead. Reiko asked Hiroto why his stepsister wants him dead and Hiroto said he doesn't know and this is after the flashback chapter. I feel like he should've at least brought up his stepmom when asked if he believes that is the reason.

But besides that point, even if a theory winds up completely wrong, it's fun to read and discuss theories of what happened in the future. Personally, I believe in the very least that:

- Aunt played a role in the stepmom's death by manipulating the stepsister into killing her and letting Hiroto take the blame. Aunt did it because she's probably a power-hungry individual since the stepmom was the headmaster of the school, the position the aunt took over after the stepmom's death. The reason why Hiroto's Dad probably disappeared is to find proof and/or he was caught up in a larger conspiracy involving the aunt.

- I dont believe cult leader was involved in the stepmom's death but I do believe he's going to betray Hiroto in the future once Hiroto is in position to defeat his stepsister by somehow taking over his body. Akemi mentioning that a ghost doesn't have any reason to deceive Hiroto is the author foreshadowing the betrayal.

You may be onto something, tho I doubt the second part. I figure since he can see ghosts and the mother is dead, he'll run into her eventually and somehow the sister's bloodlust will be resolved.
