No, that's a separate character. Chapter 0 shows the immortal chick is still in the small bird form when the muscular bird man appears (see picture below).

you so right... and im impressed that skinning the bird was the right move for the mc, poison fur is a bit crazy (is fur counted for bird feathers?)
