Ch. 9 pg. 24, he placed what looked like a transmitter next to a tree. Which I'm guessing might have been picked up by a bandit wondering what it was? Though why it only worked when they got to the 'real' plan who knows lol.

This chapter really doesn't make sense at all. There wasn't even a hint or anything that the bandit picked it up and assuming they didn't, could the transmitter really catch on to the sound that far? MC was putting it in the forest which is clearly a bit far from the cave.

This chapter really doesn't make sense at all. There wasn't even a hint or anything that the bandit picked it up and assuming they didn't, could the transmitter really catch on to the sound that far? MC was putting it in the forest which is clearly a bit far from the cave.

I'm guessing that when they were listening in on the bandit talking in the field, that was the bandits revealing the fake plan. Then it shows a flashback of what's really going at the bandit side. Now the battle is starting, the bandits are informing the others about the original plan being fake and it got caught by the listening device MC placed before.

It was shown the girls could use wind magic to allow others to hear distant conversations, so there should be no difference between directing the sound to one's ears and doing so to a receiver placed somewhere. The only issue is that there wasn't any indication this kind of spell is persistant after the caster leaves the area.

I don't think they showed a bandit finding it. That was just me trying to make sense of what was happening lol.

Well if we go by the reputation the bandits ascribe to the merchant guild leader it's because of his sense of justice.

in ch.9 he left one next to a tree, so it's more probable that the bandits were talking near the tree, remember that they were gonna talk with the bandits infiltrated in the village if they were gonna attack in the end, so that's what was probably happening when the MC started to hear in the walkie talkie.
