If you're contesting where I said "prioritizing relationships", I was referring to the fact that he didn't distinguish the relationship he had with his past girlfriend and treat/prioritize her accordingly compared to others, which lead to her breaking up with him.

Like...how recent is "recent"? Because it takes time for behavior of people to spread through a community, especially at as wide a scale as seems to be implied in this world. I guess we've only had a narrow view of the place since the MC arrived, but also if it's a matter of the ratio changing, does that mean a bunch of adult men just ....died off suddenly?
Or did the birth rates between genders change in the last 1-2 generations? Because that feels "less recent" but would at least allow for the society to start compensating (like having "Ladies' Clubs" like the Gentleman's Clubs of our world, and stuff like that).

Honestly the way / reason for the world being the way it is, is what I want to know most out of this title currently lol

The author ended up answering a question I had in the previous chapter. If this "problem" of having one man for every five women has been going on for a long time, then either the world is full of single mothers, or the women who do manage to marry a man have at least six children.

But what was revealed in this chapter is that another possibility is that this is a recent issue. Now, what’s left is for the author to reveal what exactly is going on, whether it's simply that more women have started being born than men, or if it was some kind of pandemic that killed more men, or a war, or something along those lines.

To be fair, he never said he would have the same level of romance with everyone, just the same level of kindness. Honestly I don't see much of an issue with that, if he's just helping everyone out.

So, just like if you date a police officer or firefighter, whoever dates him just has to understand that he's not going to stop doing what he does just because he's in a relationship now.
