Just hope he doesn't get strangled by the next month or two. Sexually? Or Literally Kill Himly?

I'm not sure it's correct to equate the sort of kindess he's got going on with the sort that a firefighter or police officer going around helping the public.

It sounds like, going off everything here, he's complimenting every girl he meets even if they're not his active girlfriend and telling them things like 'you're so smart' or 'no you look beautiful the way you already are'. Getting to physically close when helping them with something like in this chapter here. He's "being kind" to them in the same way, not understanding that you just don't do that with just anyone if you're actively dating someone.

and then getting sad that his gf broke up with him, but making excuses for himself like "that's just how I was raised" when it's a habit he should be learning to break. Especially since it'll potentially go badly with some of the women he's currently mixed up with.
Alright, so if a girl that seems down and possibly insecure about her looks tells you "I'm not even good looking" despite being beautiful, you'd respond how exactly?

What if a cold response there furthers her insecurities and possibly messes up her life? Telling people positive things and reassuring them isn't "flirting".

Also he realizes he's too close sometimes and backs off and apologizes for it, and doesn't do it intentionally or in a romantic or suggestive way.

Honestly if I was dating some girl and she got mad at me for helping someone, or reassuring someone that they aren't ugly, I would probably dump her because that's taking jealousy a little too far.

I imagine it would depend on whether he's doing that sort of stuff in front of the girl he was dating at the time or not.
We obviously don't get the full picture and only his (possibly biased/unreliable) interpretation of his behavior in the past. But, call me crazy, I'd probably be a little miffed if I was hanging out with my boyfriend and he was praising the looks over others girls or going off to help them out, in the exact same manner he did with me, and I was there in front of him while he did it.

To me it sounds like the ML never learned the nuances of relationships and the ins and outs of the hierarchy of importance that people can have in one's life relative to their 'relationship position'. Maybe (likely) that's a result of his being raised in an orphanage, without stable & long-term parental figures and children his age with whom he could build actual friendships.

If that's the case, then he's a sympathetic figure in that regard, but however well it worked out for him in his "normal world", the rules are very different where he is now, and that same sort of behavior might prove detrimental if not outright dangerous where women latch on much more readily to any man who shows kindness & consideration, but have not "other options" to go to if they face competition for that man's attention from other women, and thus might be more assertive/aggressive in "staking their claim", whether toward other women, or the ML himself.

In that sense, it's in his best interest to unlearn that behavior before it starts causing him real problems that he's remained relatively unaware of due to the circumstances of not running into multiple other characters simultaneously in any considerable degree.

I can totally hear Hanazawa Kana voicing this character and it's cracking me up.
I guess we've got diff characters in mind with Kana 😅 Cannot imagine Mayumi or Onodera being this down bad. Maybe Mitsuri or Satou?

She turned into a normie fastttt. Even if she doesn't win, I think her mother would be happy with her transformation. I'm feeling a very School Days ending to this manga.

I skipped through this girl's chapters on the webnovel i probably had a wrong or bad impression or because i was more invested in koumi's and yuka's stories. I'll reread her chapters

If this manga was good, the childhood friend would show up again and have an entirely different relationship with him in this world than she did in his original world, forcing him to confront the fact that this really is a different world and that the way people think here really is different from how they do in the original.

Well, actually, he'd have to learn about his 1:5-world life first, as chapter one implies that he just woke up here rather than having the world transformed. This world's version of him could be living in Kansas for all we know (Being in America, it'd explain why no one in Japan recognized him.) but then he might not have even known that childhood friend.

But then the fact that they don't know each other could be what makes it so interesting! Like, maybe he meets her again, and she, like most of the women in this world, starts hitting on him and showing a side of herself that completely shatters his perception of her. That would surely be an amazing way to show him that this really isn't his world and that he shouldn't treat it like it is.

But of course, this is what would happen if the manga was good. We all know the author just wants to write a yandere harem and doesn't really care about the MC or his story at all. And in the first place, most "alternate version of the real world" authors don't really seem to like massive butterfly effect things like that, preferring to focus on the similarities and tiny differences.

One of the big premises of the title is that men seemingly don't "go after" women in this world, because they're effectively how women are in our world - namely, they don't have to do anything for guys (or in this case, girls) to flock to them vying for attention/a place at their side.

So her not being paid attention to by any dude in her school/class makes sense. Doesn't matter what kind of glow-up she had, even the hottest students are having to fight one another for one guy's attention. Her introverted ass ain't in the running there (which is why her mom set her up with MC, who I'm guessing she met through "frequenting boys' clubs" and/or through the landlady MC is staying with, through the excuse of "tutoring for college").
I might be remembering wrong, but I thought some of the guys do ask girls out, but it's with the whole kind of attitude where they are more picked than asked.

They disbanded? That's unfortunate since this wasn't the only thing they were translating. Thanks for picking this up though, anyone know what happened?

"Hello Everyone, It's been 2 years since ROML started and it's been a fun journey thus far, but I guess it's finally time I say goodbye to this journey. I've been handling this group thus far alone for months with some people helps, but now I've lost my motivation, So I'll be retiring from Scanlation As for our series, They are free to be picked up, since I can't continue them anymore That said, there are still some chapters of "After school idol" and "Ice princess" tl'ed that I'll be releasing but after that there will be no release. Thanks."

@blooberry page 20 should probably change "him" to "them", I understand Japanese uses gender neutral pronouns but in the later pages where she complains her mother didn't tell her the tutor was a man, it makes very little sense because actually she did in this translation.

Honestly Koumi is starting to feel like a bigger problem than the stalker office lady at this point
Don't have discord so I'll say it here.

Not sure if it's an "error" but you have it to where the mom and her both say male pronouns when referring to him (which yeah he's a guy so of course) but then she says that nobody told her it would be a boy tutoring her.
Thanks for pointing this out, we'll try to make that part more clear.
