So it doesn't really matter how much experience someone else has,so long as they're not disease ridden or have several dozen children under their custody due to bad life choices.

This not a new technique for any comic at all,having an entire chapter dedicated to being a flashback with the only prompt being the black backdrop.

So the problem lies in the fact you expected an indicator,which it doesn't need aside from the black backdrop...

...and the obvious as Hell chapter title.

Really don't know what your problem is. I never stated I had an issue with the chapter, all my comment is saying is this came out of nowhere. This is a factual statement, there was no setup. I'm not saying this is bad or wrong merely pointing out the fact that it did indeed come out of left field.

This is going to expose my true feelings for this series but I’m 10x more interested in this flashback than watching the MC gulp and stammer through another relationship checkpoint with his perfect girlfriend

And as stated,this is not a new thing that comics have done,it did not,in fact,come out of no where.

Both the title and the black backdrop were the indicators.
