The father allows all of the harassment and other stuff to happen, shows up for half a second early on and pretends to care. And the author expects us to actually believe it.

A Marquis thinks it's a good idea to mess with the third prince, goes out of his way to break any and every rule. And the teacher not once steps in. But does when someone reacts. And we're apparently meant to see her as quirky and funny. While she also allows the other guy to just blatantly cheat it seems.

The Manga story/pace is different from the webnovel, so this case its not the author that made it shitty, but the mangaka. From what I read there is missing a lot of story... the author of the web novel is getting fucked here.

The whole confrontation in the class didnt happen. The MC and those classmates also went drinking tea or something after class. Like its basically 2 different stories.

Pretty convoluted setup. Also cheating like this before a fight so openly and brazenly should be ground for immediate expulsion. And even if he was the hidden third prince, he still holds a royal title, he hasn't been disowned, he still potentially wields incredible authority... And his father actually loves him, even if his dad did nothing to stop the harassment he experienced which is really more of a showcase of how incompetent the father is in handling his family affairs.

Well, I mainly just skimmed through the story to date. There was nothing that seemed like it was particularly important and unique information. Bully noble fights MC, MC has friends, friends gets crewed over, bully cheats but the system is rigged so now MC has to overcome it, yada yada yada, move on already to either the MC choosing to absolutely whoop ass or to only showcase strength and let the bully get away only to cause the bully to escalate the issue into even more threatening circumstances. I think the latter is probably likely.

So I think you're right, and he'll absolutely allow the bully noble to continue ruining the lives of his """Friends""" before actually getting around to doing something about it, at which point they'll all magically forgive him like he couldn't make his Third Prince Status work in their favor before that point if nothing else.

I'm happy to be pleasantly surprised, but everything in these three chapters of the manga tells me it's going to be a rough read, assuming it gets better at some point.

I hope she gets fired (out of a cannon or something). Gross incompetence remains gross and, while totally expected from adults/"guardians" in manga, is still no less irritating than it ever was.

Her design indicates she's a recurring character. Either she is the ongoing teacher and either she's straight up incompetent or she's going to be spun as some unorthodox teacher whose reckless strategy ends up always paying off in the long run somehow because story, or she's eventually going to get canned, replaced and either gets forgiven after being punished or becomes one of the bad guys.
