  • Volume 2 cover revealed with Ririka on the cover. July 18 release date.
  • Mayu and Hiroto's stepaunt (finally she's back in the story) have a discussion about how Ririka and Nirasawa are close to Hiroto now.
    • I think the aunt doesn't believe it's a big deal, but she warns Mayu not to let Hiroto's stepsister know about it.
    • Most importantly from the talk: There's a first-year student who might be the stepsister's greatest counter. Confirmed by a report from Mayu's Dad, the Director of the school(?). Aunt stressed to Mayu that Hiroto cannot come into contact with this student.
  • Meanwhile, Hiroto's ghost friends alerted him that Yamada went missing. After sleuthing around, they realized she was attacked and figured out her last known position.
    • Once there, they encountered the two kidnappers.

(Whoever said the male dude came from Baki, that person wasn't that far off, lol)

While I can't wait to see Hiroto's putting his new power into action, I wonder how many chapters left until he hijacks the next body. 10 chapters since Hiroto captured Ririka's body and I don't think Hiroto is any position to hijack a new body for probably 10 more chapters. I ain't complaining yet because at least Hiroto have a new toy to play with, and the main plot is moving behind the scenes.

that be great
After seeing the tags, cover and synopsis, I had one question I needed to answer by reading it: Does the mc and his yandere stepsis f***?

  • Yamada reunites with Ririka. Ririka is pretty annoyed at Yamada since she doesn't keep up with Ririka's beauty regiment, lol.
  • The relationship with Ririka and her telepathic underling is explored more. They actually know each other since kindergarten and Ririka leans on her underling for emotional support like a little sister.
  • Meanwhile, Hiroto is confronted by the two kidnappers.
    • I think the Yujiro look-a-like told Hiroto that he heard about his ability of hijacking women bodies which shocked Hiroto and his group.
      • The dude also let it slip that he was hired by a client which made his partner to be pissed for revealing too much information to Hiroto.
    • The kidnappers tried to capture Hiroto, but he uses his Misdirection ability to escape them.
  • The chapter ends with kidnappers leaving the area with the cult leader and Akemi watching over them.

  • The kidnappers go back to Ririka's den to inform Ririka's underling about the failed kidnapping.
    • It quickly spiraled to an argument with Ririka being pissed about what happened and the girl kidnapper being upset that she was told false information about Hiroto's powers, which of course Ririka didn't know about Hiroto's bangle.
      • The argument is pretty awkward since the kidnappers can't hear Ririka, so her underling is relaying what she said to them.
  • During the argument, the cult leader and Reiko phased through the wall to discover what's going on. Ririka is of course freaking out seeing the two ghosts.

  • I think the cult leader and Reiko told Ririka that her game is over and that let her know once Nirasawa shows up, that her game is really over, much to her frustration.
  • Meanwhile, Mayu went to C-classroom to look for the OP student that can counter Hiroto's stepsister.
    • When asked about her, the students told Mayu that the OP student isn't here today and that the OP student has the tendency to skip class.
    • With a sinister look on her, Mayu replied that she came to scout the OP student into the joining the student council and that she will come back again.
Meh chapter. One of the only good things about it is more Mayu screentime. Just waiting for Hiroto to focus on his attention on Yuu and Prince.

Reading the comments for when this first came out is like watching a special ed classroom try to solve a murder case. How the fuck are you gonna rate a WHOLE story after reading one or two chapters. Also bad art? Huh??? I’ve seen mainstream animanga with worse art, this manga has extremely good art if anything especially the anatomy.

- Hiroto was waiting patiently for the cult leader and Reiko to return before deciding he should skip class for today. Remarkably, he ran into the female kidnapper. Hiroto was about to fight her, but the kidnapper told him that she's not looking for a fight and that the kidnapping contract was canceled! I think the intimidation tactic worked? Hiroto is confused about what happened, but he just rolls with it.

- The female kidnapper told Hiroto that she's open to buy her services even though her price isn't cheap, lol. She told the relationship the Baki-dude has with her or someone else (he's someone's uncle, I think). The female kidnapper gave Hiroto her phone number through LINE and told him to contact her if he got a job for her.

- Mayu sees Hiroto and the female kidnapper talking to each other and she becomes absolutely livid and in a panic. So much so that, that she was frightening her classmates. Why? Because the female kidnapper Hiroto was taking to is none other than Shiranami Oktisu, the new student that is a threat to the stepsister!!! The student council member with the glasses asked her what's going on, and seeing what Hiroto is doing, became enraged as well.

The final scene is glasses asking a new member of the student council to deal with the problem.

So, the whole kidnapping plot sub-plot with Ririka is resolved? Hiroto didn't even have set foot in Ririka's hideout or even talk to her to make her stand down. Very anti-climactic and disappointing resolution if that's the case. Hoping we get a better resolution to this side-plot next chapter. At least the OP student is revealed, just wonder how her storage ability counters stepsister's powers. Hiroto just needs to realize the truth about her.

Looks like the student council members are taking another stab in taking down Hiroto's operation. I'm just hoping they only make their move after Hiroto challenge Yuu and hijacks another body at least. Hiroto needs to make some progress in his plans without getting sidetracked by these side plots.

  • New student member, Kuroki (most likely a mistranslation, at least the MTL has been right for once) leaped out of the school to confront Hiroto and Oktisu, saying that they need to be punished for skipping classes and having an impure relationship.
    • Kuroki reveals her ability which allows her to make terrain slippery which she used to stop Okitsu from escaping.
      • hXkl0o0.png
  • Kuroki was about to punch Hiroto's teeth in, but Nirasawa managed to block the punch in time. Nirasawa told Kuroki that the next period is about to start soon. Kuroki backed off, I think saying that she will continue at lunch time.
  • Hiroto, growing tired of the student council harassment and knowing that he's needs to deal with them eventually, challenge Kuroki to a match. Loser will be forced to follow the winner's commands.
    • Kuroki was taken aback but Mayu jumped in saying she'll accept the challenge. She's going to use the challenge to separate Hiroto from Okitsu.
    • It's going to be a 5v5 team ability-based survival match behind the gym at school. Hiroto will have one week to prepare for the upcoming battle!

I knew the 5v5 battle was going happen soon because the artist of the story spoiled it on X a few weeks ago before deleting the post. After that premature ending with the kidnapping plot, I thought Hiroto would be dealing with the Prince before being challenged to a major fight. However, since Mayu saw Hiroto talking to Okitsu, which is just shit luck, Hiroto is forced to accelerate his team building mission before the event.

So, the combatants of the challenge will most likely be:

Team Hiroto
  1. Hiroto
  2. Nirasawa
  3. Prince
  4. Yuu
  5. Ito

Team Mayu
  1. Mayu
  2. Kuroki
  3. Kanna
  4. (New member or Glasses girl leader. She would probably think this matter is beneath her and won't fight)
  5. New member)

The hard part is getting Prince's team onboard which Hiroto needs to find a way to convince them to help, most likely involving Ririka. Maybe one of the Prince's team members can be replaced with Asumi ( Ririka's childhood friend)?

We'll see in the upcoming chapters...

  • Stepsister is at the government research facility. Government dudes who are monitoring her keep mentioning how abnormal the stepsister is in manifesting and controlling her powers and how the stepsister could be the second S-class ability user in history(!).
  • They asked the stepsister to use her undo power on a terrorist that's on death row, to see how the ability physically strains the stepsister, and I think to also test the subject's memory before and after the undo.
    • Woman terrorist enters the scene and fires a rocket launcher at stepsister with her ability. Stepsister used the reflect ability to block the damage and then used her instant kill power ability to terminate the terrorist.
      • Stepsister revived the terrorist with her undo ability and kept killing and reviving the terrorist repeatedly. By the time stepsister was told to stop, the terrorist was a broken mess and one of the stepsister's eyes was bleeding from ability overuse.
  • Meanwhile, Kiyokawa (glasses girl) asked Mayu why she accepted the 5v5 challenge.
    • Mayu told her she did it to protect the Okitsu from Hiroto. That's why if Mayu's team win the upcoming challenge, there will be a restraining order in place to make sure Hiroto doesn't go anywhere near Okitsu.
    • Kuroki said she's on board with the challenge and she said she will bring another member from the Ability Research Club.
    • Mayu also confirmed she'll participate in the challenge. She wants the game to a flag battle so she can use her teleport ability to win the game easily.

The undo ability is finally revealed. They were only testing on how it affects the physical body but I'm curious how it works beyond that. It kinda nuts how apparently the only person with three abilities, powerful abilities I might add, is not already S-tier. I wonder what ability the first S-tier user has to warrant such a status.

Seeing how the undo ability works, I can see a possible climax where, if the cult leader actually takes over Hiroto's body, because he's evil and wants to revive his cult in a new body, stepsister does actually go through in killing Hiroto. However, it won't be because of malice but to purge the cult leader of the Hiroto's body and the stepsister can use her undo powers to revive Hiroto's body so the real Hiroto can get his body back(this will happen once the stepsister is defeated, have a change of heart and becomes a brocon again). Who knows, maybe the main reason why the stepsister wants to kill Hiroto because she encountered a user who can show people a glimpse of a possible future. One of those possible futures is an evil Hiroto (possessed by the cult leader) turning society upside down by his reenergized cult. To avoid that grim future, stepsister needs to terminate Hiroto as soon as it becomes apparent that Hiroto needs to be stopped so she doesn't get in trouble by the government for killing someone, which is a year from her declaration of his death.
